An energy company has ignited hope for children in the care of a local survivors’ group by offering 12 months of free L.P.G. gas.
Last week Origin Energy Samoa’s General Manager Felise Sam Chong signed an agreement with Samoa Victim Support Group’s (S.V.S.G.) President Lina Chang so they could provide the Group’s House of Hope with free gas.
“The services we will provide includes the delivery to and from the House of Hope, of L.P.G. gas,” Mr Sam Chong said.

“(We will also) provide training, servicing and inspection of appliances to ensure (their) safety.
“We hope that this donation will help the House of Hope in so many ways and we want to wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”
Ms Chang said thank you for this gift, the children at the house would now be free from looking around for dry tamaligi branches for their cooking.
“Fa’afetai tele lava,” she said.
