Westpac brings Christmas tidings

GIFTS AND SMILES: The faces of residents at the home lit up as they were presented with gifts and more.The Westpac Retail Banking Department brought glad tidings and gifts to the 46 residents of Mapufagalele on Wednesday.

Shirley Greed, Retail Banking Manager said that the 20 plus employees under her branch held a fund raising event on 28 November selling food, clothes and books to raise the money to purchase the gifts.

She said they’ve been doing it for the past four or five years The employees sang Christmas carols and danced with the elderly.

The residents wrote their wish lists to Westpac.

The nuns running the home in turn thanked Westpac for the gifts.

Apart from the Annual Christmas Party and Gift-giving, Westpac has also been donating and funding projects for the physical improvement of the compound like the construction of Fales damaged during the Cyclone Evans.
