Organised by members of the class, the reunion includes a number of exciting activities to be enjoyed by the former students and their immediate families.

Member of the class, Mulipola Bernie Tau’a’anae, said yesterday was the first day of the reunion where former students turned up for registration.

“This is the first time we have had a reunion,” Mulipola said.

“The purpose is to bring everyone together who attended Samoa College at the time to reacquaint and reflect on old times.

“The hope of this reunion is to reunite us from all over the world.

It is also a great chance too to bring together our children and spouses under one roof.”

The reunion is also designed to raise funds for various projects through which the class intends to give back to the school.

For the next couple of days, Mulipola said he anticipates a trip down memory lane as the classmates reminisce about the past and the humble beginnings they all came from.

"There's a special spirit, closeness and kinship that exists within our class,” he said.

“Everybody appreciates everybody and one of the more enduring aspects of our class is everyone's sincere desire to see each other.”

A to’ana’i on Sunday will end the reunion.
