Love is the word for the season and there was definitely a case of love in the air at Falelauniu yesterday where two young lovers decided to tie the knot.
Leseia Olotoi and Sione Tupai exchanged vows in front of their friends and families at the Full Gospel Church at Falelauniu.
The new couple wanted their special day to be held during the Christmas season and so yesterday they were joined by their relatives, friends and guests to celebrate their special day.
Maid of honour, Simalo Tuivanu, said the bride returned from New Zealand especially for the wedding.
Leseia was on holiday in Samoa a year ago when she met Sione.
“We met at this very church and we want to have our wedding here at the Full Gospel at Falelauniu,” the bride said.
“Today marks the one year anniversary since we’ve been together and we wanted to tie the knot today to celebrate it.”
The couple, both 27 years old, say they are looking forward to starting a new life together as husband and wife.
Mr. Tupai is the son of Fa’afitu and Fa’agalo of Falelauniu. He is the sixth of ten children.
The bride is the daughter of Olotoi and Ofagamalefa, also of Falelauniu. She is the only child.
