It followed the signing of an Insurance agency agreement between the Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Tuu’u Amaramo Sialaoa, and Federal Pacific Insurance.

The agreement will see N.B.S staff members handle basic administration work that the customers would normally have to do at the insurance office.

“The whole idea is to make it easy for our customers so that the time taken to process their business with the Bank will be minimised and will avoid them running around,” said Tuu’u.

“This will also allow the N.B.S staff to liaise directly with our customers as to their insurance needs and making sure that they are fully aware of their insurance policy and their assets are well covered.”

Tuu’u acknowledged the assistance rendered by Federal Pacific Insurance General Manager, Namulauulu Sami Leota, and his team.

“Federal Pacific Insurance is no stranger to the community and we are confident in their products as well as their claims reputation which was key in our decisions to go with them,” he said.

Training sessions for the N.B.S staff have followed the signing.

“This is a move to the right direction as we have been dealing with the National Bank of Samoa for quite sometime,” Namulauulu.

“This agreement will see us working a lot more closer with them and more importantly with their customers.”

“It’s an exciting arrangement and I have no doubt this will benefit all parties in the long run.”

“I wish to commend the National Bank of Samoa for believing in us and our service as they could have gone to another insurance Company.”

“The fact that we have this in place means a lot to us and will put us on our toes to ensure that we will continue to honour our part of the agreement and our service will be second to none.”

The main products offered under the agreement include domestic house insurance, motor vehicles, business insurance and various other products.

Federal Pacific Insurance is part of the Federal Pacific Group of companies that celebrated its 15 years anniversary in October last year. They have offices in New Zealand, East Timor, London and various Pacific countries.
