A thanksgiving mass for the Samoa Shipping Corporation was held yesterday evening at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at Mulivai.
Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, Corporation staff and their families were amongst those who attended the mass.
Archibishop Alapat i L Mata’eliga, who led the mass, reminded the Corporation staff of the importance of their service to the community and to the whole of Samoa. “May the Lord bless the government and everyone who works at the Samoa Shipping Corporation,” he said, “and may His blessings continue to fall upon each and every one of us here.”
“Happy 40th anniversary, Samoa Shipping Corporation!”
The celebrations marking the 40th anniversary will continue today with a parade and floats at eight o’clock this morning.
