Service to welcome Malua students

FAMILY SUPPORT: Student, Oli Levi and his family from Falealupo, Savai’i.A service was held at Malua Theological College last Wednesday night to mark the beginning of the academic year.

Rev. Elder Peleti Toa’iloa led the service and reminded the students to be strong in the Lord.

“Teachers, Jesus told Peter, ‘Feed my sheep’” “May you have a prosperous year in whatever circumstances that you find yourselves.”

“God bless.”

First year student, Lefu Talie said that he was humbled when he was selected to enter Malua Theological College.

“I have nothing more to say because this is my first year and I am relying on God for his guidance and his leadership will be my strength.”

“I want to thank my parents, Talie and Avasa, families and friends especially my mentor, Rev. Muao Su’a and the Congregational Christian Church at Vaitele-Uta for their continuous prayers.

“They are what have brought me here today.”

MARKING THE NEW TERM: Rev. Lata Latai, Rev Muao Su’a, Tauvela Su’a, Lefu Talie and Malua Theological College Principal, Rev. Dr Afereti Uili.“Their prayers will give me strength to carry on.” Another first year student, Oli Levi from Falealupo Savai’i said that he is very happy.

“Thank God for the opportunity. I will use it wisely so that I could serve Him with all my heart in the near future.”

“I know it’s not easy, but I believe that there’s nothing impossible when we trust in the Lord.”

For more than 156 years, the Malua Theological College has provided training for the ministry of the Congregational Christian Church in Samoa.

Throughout these years, the College has adapted and developed itself to meet the many changes in the life of the church and the society it serves.
