Opposition Leader Palusalue Fa’apo II is not suspended from parliament despite being kicked out of the Assembly last month by the Speaker.

Speaker of the House, La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao ordered Palusalue to leave parliament in the January sitting for ignoring his orders.
During the night Palusalue was sent out, La’auli told parliament “I will think about what to do to the Opposition Leader.”
Asked whether he was suspended from parliament yesterday, Palusalue said no.
“I was only told to leave parliament for that sitting,” said Palu.
“I will be attending parliament when it reconvenes.”
Attempts to get a comment from the Speaker were unsuccessful.
Palusalue was ordered out of parliament by La’auli after he objected to comments made by fellow Safata M.P and Minister of Works, Manualesagalala Enokati Posala.
The decision followed clashes between Palusalue and Speaker La’auli over the handling the government’s response to the Officers of Parliament Committee (O.P.C) The last straw for the Speaker, however, was after Palusalue took the floor to object to a comment made by Minister of Works, Manu’alesagalala.
Manu’a had apologised to the constituency of Safata, Speaker La’auli and Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi for Palu’s behaviour.
But this upset Palu who insisted that the clashes with the Speaker and Prime Minister are part and parcel of his role as the Leader of the Opposition.
“You don’t need to apologise on my behalf,” Palusalue told Man’ualesagalala.
“I have already apologised to the Speaker.
“(What Manu’a is doing) is that he is making it sound like I did the wrong thing.”
The Speaker did not allow Palu to object.
“Palu I have told you too many times to sit down and you still have not,” said La’auli.
But Palu continued to speak over the Speaker.
It was at that point when La’auli took the decision to send him out.
