P.M. says Tautua is “sick”

The Tautua Samoa Party is suffering from an illness.

That is Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi’s response to Palusalue Fa’apo II’s claim that the Tautua is ready to govern if the H.R.P.P. cannot sort themselves out.

The comment was made by the Opposition leader during a press conference last week.

Palusalue’s comments were made following the confirmation by Siumu M.P., Tu’u’u Anasii Leota, that he had been elected as the leader of a new political party.

Tuu’u has since backtracked, saying what he said was a joke.

But Tuilaepa during his live talk show programme with Radio Polynesia on Wednesday said the Tautua Party is “sick”.

That is why they cannot wait to get to the position the H.R.P.P. has.

“They have long wanted to reach it but they can’t because they don’t have the numbers,” said Tuilaepa.

Palusalue at the time said Tautua was very concerned about the people of the country since the H.R.P.P. is showing signs of breaking up.

“If something is amiss within government who will be impacted the most?

The people of the country,” said Palusalue.

In response, Tuilaepa said that the 37 members of Human Rights Protection Party are “very talented” and deep thinkers, full of knowledge and wisdom.”

Qualities the Tautua Samoa Party clearly lacked, he said.
