The tour examined the environmental impact of commercial fishing as well as climate change issues as they relate to oceans.
Specific topics included sustainable commercial fishing practices; the impact of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (I.U.U) fishing on food security; sea port controls; seafood safety through the supply chain; fishing rights; Impact of climate change on sea levels, ocean temperatures, currents, and ocean wildlife; and the oceans’ role in regional and global ecosystems.
