The album titled “E manatua pea outou i le Kerisimasi” is a tribute by Tanuvasa to his families and loved ones.

During an interview with the Samoa Observer, Tanuvasa said the album is especially dedicated to his mother, the late Peata Tanuvasa Ameperosa.

“The album has a very special meaning to me,” he said.

“One of the songs came to me after seeing families get together to celebrate the holidays together. This is the time that they forgive one another and celebrate the holidays together as a family.”

Christmas, he said, is a special time for everyone.

And Tanuvasa said he would miss his mother terribly. Another song in the album was written by a former Principal of Papauta College, Pepe Tuumatavai Fuimaono.

“It is a poem that Ms. Fuimaono wrote about a young girl who was treated badly by a family that she was staying with,” said Tanuvasa.

“Ms. Fuimaono told me to put a tune to this poem because it’s a sad story and so I decided to include it in this edition.”

“This is the time that children get to enjoy themselves and reap what they sow in school and here is this young girl only hoping and dreaming to have the same sort of happiness.”

Another song in the album was written by Tanuvasa’s son, Benjamin Solomona.

“It is a love song written by my son,” he said. “It’s about a girl who he saw and thought was the most beautiful girl but was not able to talk to her.”

The album also features a number of Christmas numbers. Asked about the challenges in putting together such an album, Tanuvasa said: “I love doing this and it’s my passion. However the biggest challenge for me was finding the right time to put it together.”

“I am always busy with work and home but I had to find the time to complete this and I’m glad it’s done.”

Tanuvasa acknowledged Pulotu Lyndon Chu-Ling, Galumalemana Margaret Malua, his family, church at Vaivase-tai and all his supporters.
