Held last Sunday afternoon, a matai at Leauva’a, Salā Lameko Eteuati said the program focuses on working through problems.

“Everyone has problems especially within families, the relationships between the parents and the children, the brothers and the sisters,” he said.

“This programme is like a wakeup call for all of us that whatever problems we are facing, God is the answer for it all.”

“The idea for the programme,” he said, “came from the Catholic Archbishop Alapati Mataeliga and so the Leloto Catholic Church thought it would be a good idea for everyone in the village to attend church in the evening.”

“Ever since this programme started, there have been a lot of families who would attend the evening service which is good,” he said.

“Some of them started out by just coming to watch and now they have decided to come for good.”

Salā said not only families, but also the youth, which is a blessing, as the workshop will keep them busy and prevent them from doing silly things that will have them end up in jail.

Sala said the programme is for this year only.

“It was planned by the Archbishop, however if the Church still want to continue they can as part of their evening service and there is nothing wrong with that,” he said.
