Bernadette Matina Visesio Muaiava is Dux for Year 13 at Chanel College. Upon being given the opportunity to speak, Bernadette relayed the following. "First of all I would like to thank God, because without his gift, which is wisdom and knowledge, I wouldn't be able to receive what I did today," she said. "To my family and friends for their support this whole year especially my parents here for all their prayers, commitment and heart."
“My parents kept pushing me throughout the year, and last but not the least I would like to thank our principal for all he has done for us throughout the year.”.

“I’m going to a school that I cherish the most, and I will never forget the place where I have learned everything that I need to know for my future.” And what does that future hold for Bernadette? She wants to be a lawyer.
Her father Catechist Visesio Muaiava is grateful his daughter has completed her secondary school studies so successfully. “We shouldn’t have pride because it is the Lord who was there for her and it is He who the glory should go to,” said Muaiava.
“I want to thank the teachers and the principal for all their hard work throughout the year and especially for helping my daughter to get to where she is now.”
