Yesterday was a special day for Reverend Hemi Fa’aeafaleupolu and Mindy Reupena Samuelu.
It was when the two lovebirds joined as husband and wife during an intimate wedding service at the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa at Afega.

The service and the reception that followed at the E.F.K.S Hall at Sogi was well attended by their relatives, friends and guests.
For Mindy Reupena, yesterday was a new beginning.
“I feel happy and very excited,” said Mindy.
Asked how they met, both husband and wife agreed that their union is meant to be.
“We didn’t know each other before,” said Rev. Hemi. “It was the Holy Spirit that led me to my wife and for that I am thankful that I have found a soul mate who will help me do God’s work.”
Mindy is the youngest child of the late Reverend Reupena and Aiga Samuelu’s five children. The 35-year-old hails from Moata’a, Falelatai, Afega and Leone American Samoa.
She used to work at the Samoa National Provident Fund before she moved to American Samoa where she became a Police officer.
Rev. Hemi is the eldest son of Aiono Pulumelo Kereti and Vaiola Fa’aea’s four children. He hails from Fasito’o-tai, Fasito’outa, Afega and Fagaloa. He is 44-years-old.
