The decision was made by Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu, on Monday.

The adjournment is to await a response to an application by the defense lawyer to the presiding judge for amendments to his notes. This was revealed by prosecutor, Rexona Titi, during the proceedings.

The appeal is against a conviction against the Deputy Prime Minister from an incident where he was found guilty of obstructing Police from conducting their duties. The incident occurred in October 2013 on Beach Road. Fonotoe is represented by lawyer, Donald Kerslake.
