The Police yesterday confirmed two non-fatal car accidents during the weekend.

Acting Police Commissioner, Fauono Talalelei Tapu, said the first incident occurred at Luatuanu’u on Sunday morning.
A vehicle was on its way from Saoluafata to Apia when the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.
The driver missed a bend at Luatuanu’u and the vehicle plunged straight into the sea.
Three passengers were injured and hospitalised.
Two have since been discharged with one still recovering at the hospital.
Fauono said the driver has been charged with negligent driving causing injury and is scheduled to appear in Court on 3 February 2015.
The second incident also occurred early Sunday morning when a drunken taxi driver veered off the road and crashed into one of the traffic lights opposite H.J Keil at Saleufi.
Fauono said the driver is a 28-year-old man from Sinamoga.
He was taken into Police custody when he crashed but he has since been granted bail to await his Court appearance on 3 February 2015.
In the meantime, he has been charged with negligent driving causing damage to government property and drunk driving.
