The promotion involved two female and 28 male officers.
Among the promotions is one Superintendent, five Inspectors, four Senior Sergeants, six Sergeants, and fourteen Corporals.
The positions were earlier advertised by the Ministry.
Acting Police Commissioner, Afamasaga Michael So’onalole, delivered the keynote address.
“First of all I congratulate you for all the hard work that you have done,” he said.
“The Ministry needs dedicated police officers and with the positions that you have been promoted to, it should not been taken lightly."
“It is your calling to serve the people with honesty, don’t think that with your position, things will be easier for you."
“Always remember that the higher you get in the rankings, the more responsibilities on your shoulders.”v Afamasaga reminded them that as police officers, they are there to enforce the law, not break it.
“[And] no one is above the law,” he said.
“May the Lord guide you and be with you on these new positions that you have earned.”
