Every good thing comes to an end.
Every good thing comes to an end. That was the case for members of the Samoa Christian Universal Church who have been gathering at Vaitele Fou for the past week.
Speaking to the Samoa Observer Evangelist and Vice Secretary for the Congregation Afa Pulumelo Fili said there were a few changes after the conference especially in the Youth Ministry.
“There are new programs and new activities that we hope to put in to action in the next two years not only in Samoa but also in New Zealand and Australia,” he said. “However the main structure of the church itself remains the same.”
Asked about the church’s other plans, he said:
“In the next conference we are hoping to keep on developing other areas not only in the spiritual side but to help out in the communities here in Samoa and overseas."
“Together with the closing of the conference we have two ordained pastors that were being blessed today to help out in the church and also to go out and spread the word of God.
“They are based in Samoa for the mean time but one of them will move to New Zealand and also assistant pastors that were being blessed as well.” The church was founded by Rev. Tagatavao Alefaio Tito in 2003 in New Zealand. There are fifteen branches of the congregation, eight in Australia, four in New Zealand and three here in Samoa. The President of the Congregation is Rev. Tagatavao Alefaio Tito.
