Officer in Charge of I.L.O Pacific, Satoshi Sasaki met with Minister of Women, Community and Social Development Tolofuaivalelei Falemoe Leiataua to reiterate the support of the organization to the government.
The I.L.O is currently supporting the Division for Youth as part of the Samoa National Action Plan on Youth Employment Project among other youth initiatives.
“We see the support of the ILO as very important in the employment component of our work,” said Tolofuaivalelei.
Sasaki reaffirmed I.L.Os commitment to the work of the Ministry on youth through the Division for Youth.
“We continue to work with the Division to assist in the policy frameworks needed for youth employment in Samoa,” Sasaki said.
I.L.O has provided assistance to Ministry in hosting the Pacific Regional Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting, and to advance discussion on youth employment.
