Four new lawyers were welcomed to the bar last Tuesday.
Methodist Church Reverend, Tofiga Tusiane, was one of them.
Reflecting after taking his oath, Reverend Tofiga said getting to where he is today has not been easy.
“I was studying at Waikato University in New Zealand for four years during which I received my Master in Law,” he said.
“I tell you what, it has not been easy.
“There have been many challenges but I’m glad I’ve overcome them. I thank God for his grace.
“Sometimes I felt lazy, not wanting to attend class. I got tired but what kept me going is that I am a Pastor and I have to do what God is calling me to do.”
Rev. Tusiane thanked everyone for their support.
“I wish to thank the Methodist President, Elder Rev. Aisoli Iuli for the tremendous support,” he said.
“I want to acknowledge all the hard work that each and every one especially the Methodist Church did for from the elders, Reverends and their wives, friends and family, thank you so much.
“I want to thank the Chief Justice, Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu and Attorney General Aumua Ming Leung Wai and the office of the Attorney General, thank you very much.”
Rev. Tofiga Tusiane and wife Christine hail from Ti’avea, Faleapuna, Lotopuē and Lepā. They have one daughter.
